Consent to the processing of health data

Version 1.1 · As of 12 August 2026

Draft — legal review by a qualified lawyer is still pending. The content has been prepared carefully but has not yet been finally reviewed.

1. Why a separate consent?

Health data is specially protected data (Art. 9 GDPR). Its processing on this platform takes place exclusively on the basis of your EXPLICIT consent (Art. 9(2)(a) GDPR) — separate from all other consents (terms of use, privacy policy, marketing). This consent is requested separately and recorded separately.

2. What you consent to

Processing of your medical documents (findings, reports, laboratory and imaging data) for case preparation by BGGI.

Sharing of the documents you released with the hospitals and physicians you chose or that are assigned to your case — including outside the EU/EEA where you agree in the individual case (see privacy policy, section 10).

Optional AI-assisted pre-analysis of your documents for faster case preparation; the results are always reviewed by BGGI staff.

3. Voluntariness and revocation

Consent is voluntary. Without it, however, the platform cannot provide its core service (arranging medical treatment).

You can revoke your consent at any time with effect for the future: portal → privacy → consents. Revocation does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out until then. After revocation, your health data will not be processed further and will be deleted after statutory retention periods expire.
